Pizza is an Italian favorite amongst many, and adding a touch of creativity while preparing it makes it even better. From adding ingredients such as tuna and chickpeas to upgrading with a Mexican twist, here’s a list of unusual pizza toppings you have to try over ready-made dough or a fresh one!


Option number 1: Delicious tuna topping

If you and your family are seafood lovers, you will love topping your pizza with tuna. Not only is it healthy, but it’s also economical. You can prepare it with 1 can of California Garden Light Tuna Solid in Brine, 1 large red onion, and 1 cup of ready-made pizza sauce!

Option number 2: Chickpeas pizza

Using only 1 can of California Garden Chickpeas, 1 small onion, and ¾ cup of barbecue sauce, you can make the best out of your pizza dough. Spread the sauce over your dough then top with chickpeas and onions. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes and voila! Your pizza is now ready to serve.

Option 3: Taco pizza

Ever wondered how your pizza would taste with a Mexican twist? Over medium heat, cook 2 cups of ground beef, then drain and stir in 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning. Add ¾ cup of water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Spread 1 can of California Garden Red Kidney Beans on your pizza dough, followed by the beef mixture and cheddar cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 13-16 minutes or until cheese melts. Sprinkle with 1 chopped tomato, ¼ cup chopped lettuce, ½ cup olive slices, and cilantro.
