Ingredients

  • To prepare the meat filling:

  • California Garden Sweet Peas - 1 can

  • California Garden Whole Kernel Sweet Corn - 1 can

  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

  • Onion, chopped - 2

  • Ground lamb - 300 grams

  • Dried parsley leaves - 2 teaspoons

  • Dried rosemary - 1 teaspoon

  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon

  • Salt - ½ teaspoon

  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon

  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic cloves, minced - 2

  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons

  • All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons

  • Carrots, chopped - ½ cup

  • Beef stock - 1 cup

  • To prepare the potato layer:

  • Potatoes, boiled and peeled - 900 grams

  • Cooking cream - ⅓ cup

  • Butter - 100 grams

  • Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon

  • Parmesan cheese, shredded - ¼ cup

  • Salt - ½ teaspoon

  • Black pepper - ¼ teaspoon

Preparation

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

Add ground lamb, parsley, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Cook for 1 minute.

Step 3

Add tomato paste and flour. Stir well until ingredients are incorporated. Add carrots, California Garden Sweet Corn, and Sweet Peas.

Step 4

Pour in beef broth. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat and layer the mixture in a baking dish.

Step 5

Mash potatoes in a bowl. Add cooking cream, butter, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mash ingredients together until combined. Spread mixture on top of the meat layer.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 200⁰C for 25-30 minutes. Serve immediately.
