Gather in the living room, close the curtains, sit back in the sofa and hit play. Wait; is something missing? Oh right! Snacks! If you’re wondering what would be the ultimate snack for movie night besides popcorn, learn about the convenience of preparing toasts with a variety of quick and easy toppings!

Snack option Number 1: Basil – Sundried tomatoes – Olives

Looking for a fancy snack to enjoy while watching your favorite movie? Spread ready-made pizza sauce over a slice of toast. Add fresh basil leaves, sundried tomatoes and sliced olives. Bake for 10 minutes until toast is golden and smell is aromatic.

Snack option Number 2: Cherry tomatoes – Mozzarella

Tomatoes and Mozzarella pair so well in just about any recipe let alone on toast! Just slice your cherry tomatoes and combine them with mozzarella balls over your toast. Sprinkle with a bit of oregano or dried thyme and pop in the oven until the cheese melts. 10 minutes is all it takes!

Snack option Number 3: Chickpeas – Labneh

All you need is a tablespoon of garlicky labneh and a tablespoon of California Garden Chickpeas to top these no-bake toasts. If you prefer baked chickpeas you can always pop the toasts in the oven for 5 minutes but you’ll end up in both ways with a snack that’s loaded with protein and fibers that will keep you satiated to keep you from indulging!

Snack option Number 4: Avocado – Cherry tomatoes

Are you a huge fan of avocados? You will certainly fall in love with this one! Slice your avocados thinly and place them over the toast. Add cherry tomatoes and sliced olives and then sprinkle with lots and lots of black pepper. You’ll end up with a delicious and filling no bake snack!

Snack option Number 5: Radish – Labneh

Sometimes a crunchy and nutritious snack is all you need for movie night. And because labneh tastes even better when paired with vegetables, how about you spread it on a toast and slice some radishes to top it? The best part is, you can prepare a whole batch for the whole family in just 10 minutes!

Snack option Number 6: Mashed Fava Beans – Arugula – Olives – Onions

California Garden mashed fava beans are loaded with protein and fibers and can help you stay satiated for a longer period of time. In addition to that, you won’t have to worry about consuming them at night because they are extra light on the stomach! Spread a spoonful over toast and top with arugula leaves, olives and onions. Bon appetit!
